An exhibition standard 1:50 scale waterline model of the Orient Line liner S.S. Osterley (1909)
modelled by E.J. Walpole, with masts, radio aerial, rigging, anchors, hawse pipes, anchor winch, deckrails, bollards, spare anchor, hatch covers, ventilators with derricks, water deflectors, superstructure with bridge and wing bridges, awning staunchions, eighteen covered lifeboats in davits and two more uncovered, companionways, engine room lights, two stayed funnels, deck lights, deck house, aft helm and other details. The hull finished in black and mounted in a calm seascape with engines arrested, a detailed tug approaching from aft starboard and a barge in full sail on a starboard reach clearing her bow. Measurements overall -- 6 x 17¼in. (15.2 x 44cm.)
