Circular box, the independent cover, sides and base enamelled with translucent grey-blue on an engine-turned ground, within reeded gold and opaque white enamel borders, the cover centred with an oval enamel plaque painted with Paris encouraging Cupid to pierce Helen's breast with an arrow, within a reeded gold frame, the sablé gold borders stamped with stylized acanthus
