signed twice 'DALI' (center right and lower center) and inscribed 'a l'approche de l'oassis [sic]. les amants devienent visibles, et surgissen [sic] de l'aridite [sic] des rocs' (center); '"l'ombre des amants rejoin [sic] la fleur du dessert [sic] au centre de l'oassis [sic]"' (lower edge)
