the linen ground of each worked in silks with a waving figure beneath a crested arch of red, yellow and blue plumes, surmounted by a pair of cockerels and flanked by long-tailed, winged creatures, Skyros, late 17th/early 18th century, (damages and repairs)--24cm x 40cm and 24cm x 37cm; and an embroidered muslin towel, the end borders worked in metal threads and silks with pale pink and blue flower sprays, Ottoman, first half of the 19th century, (ends tacked together, stains)--51cm x 100cm
