An unusual well constructed Gauge 1 spirit-fired steam model of the historic American Grasshopper type 0-2-2 vertical boilered locomotive 'Atlantic' of 1832
built for the Baltimore & Ohio R.R. and two-axle coach made by Aster for Fulgurex in etched brass and copper, the locomotive with internally fired boiler, four-wick spirit lamp, twin double-acting vertical cylinders coupled to cams and geared to front axle, and a stagecoach style spring-mounted passenger car for B&O Railroad in etched brass and wood, all finished in bright metal and tan painted wood -- 12¼in. (31cm.) long, in wooden carrying case
