A NORTH ITALIAN WALNUT AND MARQUETRY WRITING-TABLE

The rectangular mahogany cross-banded top enclosing a band of scrolling foliage centred by urns, flanked by chimerical beasts on the long sides, with central roundel depicting Cronus holding a scythe, seated in a chariot drawn by a dragon, above a frieze of scrolling foliage with a frieze drawer on square tapering legs
