profusely carved overall with trailing foliage, the hinged moulded lid enclosing a smaller lidded compartment within, the lid centred with a geometrical motif and dated to each corner ANNO 1726, within the foliage are four swans, a hunter, a stag and various animals including a boar and a hare, the front with initials AGE in a cartouche
