Haines is known to have popularized a look known as the 'Hollywood Regency' which incorporated 19th Century English design elements with the theatricality of the Mid-20th Century Modern movement in Los Angeles. This fusion of styles is illustrated in the present lot, which was a prototype from the Haines studio
