With nickel finished jewelled lever movement, the engine-turned white dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, inscription 1947-1997, sweep centre seconds, window for the date, the rectangular curved case with enlarged sides, back with the inscription India 1997 secured by eight screws, together with an 18K gold Cartier buckle, Certificate, Cartier presentation box and outer packaging, case, dial and movement signed

This Tank model was specifically designed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of India's Independence in 1997. It was produced in a limited edition of 50 examples worldwide.
