拍品專文

The Neue Sachlichkeit artist Heinrich Maria Davringhausen was a self taught painter who worked closely with Carlo Mense and Georg Schrimpf in Munich and Berlin. He was represented in the celebrated Neue Sachlichkeit exhibition in Mannheim in 1925 and later in the infamous Entartete Kunst exhibition in Munich in 1937.

The innovative and celebrated dealer Hans Goltz, who ran one of the foremost avant-garde galleries in Munich, represented Davringhausen between 1915 and 1925.
