GIRARD PERREGAUX. A FINE LIMITED EDITION PLATINUM SELF-WINDING PERPETUAL CALENDAR CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH
Chronograph wristwatch Apart from normal time keeping, the chronograph watch allows time to be recorded independently, with a central second hand operated by two buttons in the band to start, stop, restart or return to zero. Subsidiary dials indicating 30 minutes, 12 hours or 24 hours, register the amount of time elapsed. The first chronograph wristwatch appeared in 1910 and remain popular today, especially in watches designed for sports, where such a 'stopwatch' function is useful.
