Comprising a pair of cufflinks, each set with a square-cut sapphire in a baguette-cut diamond surround, with four matching studs, mounted in platinum

With two certificates from the Gübelin Gem Lab, Ltd.: certificate 9806124/1-2 dated 14/9/98 stating that natural corundum is commonly enhanced by heat, the effects of which are stable and permanent; it cannot presently be determined if these gemstones have been enhanced in this manner. Certificate 9806125/1-2 dated 14/9/98 stating that insofar as the mounting permits: it cannot be determined if one out of the four square-cut sapphires has been enhanced by heat; the other three shows no indications of thermal enhancement; sapphires which have not been enhanced by heat are scarce.
