An ivory brise fan, painted with four portrait miniatures framed with pearls, one couple in Roman dress, the other wearing wreaths of flowers, the reserves with sprays of ivy, and wild flowers including wild roses, harebells, buttercups, campion and convulvulous, the upper guardstick with monogram EBM, the lower guardstick with crest: trelliswork and gold spot gryphon's head errased - 9in.
