BYRON, George Gordon Noel, Lord. Autograph note signed ("Byron") to an unidentified correspondent, "Sunday Noon," n.d. [prior to 1816]. 1 page, 12mo, paper with partial watermark date ("18--"), tipped to a larger sheet and bound in a dark green protective folder, silk endpages, matching slipcase.
A hurried apology for a missed appointment: "I fully intended calling yesterday but business, the consequence of being longer from town that I intended, prevented me. I am obliged to leave it [town] again for 2 days, but on Tuesday or Wednesday at farthest I hope to find you well, & myself welcome. Any hour that suits you after two. I will take my chance and if you are out I shall not be discouraged but try again. Ever yours obliged & truly Byron."
Not traced in Letters, ed. L. Marchand.
