Two complete sets, each containing a set of 28 hand-colored shoulder-length profile portraits on card (completed measure 103 x 72 mm), divided into three interchangeable sections; housed in two original wooden boxes with three compartments to hold the transformation features, pictorial label on sliding lids.
The multiple combinations can nearly form a staggering 22,000 different portrait possibilities per set. Among the combinations can be found portraits of Lord Nelson, Napoleon Bonaparte, Mr. Pitt, and numerous other of their contemporaries. (2)
