A SEVRES GREEN-GROUND PART TEA SERVICE
Blue interlaced L's to each piece, date letter L for 1764 and painter's mark for Evans to the waste-bowl, date letter K for 1763 and painter's mark for Aloncle to all other pieces
Each piece finely painted in colours with landscape views of birds on branches reserved on the bright green ground within a gilt ciselé band issuing flowering vines, comprising:
A teapot and cover with silver-gilt mounted spout (théière 'Calabre,' 2ème grandeur), 5½in. (13.8cm.) high
A sugar-bowl and cover (sucrier 'Bouret,' 1ére grandeur), 5in. (12.7cm.) high
A waste-bowl (jatte 'ronde'), 6½in. (16.2cm.) diameter
Four teabowls and saucers, 2in. (5.1cm.) high, the teabowls, 4 2/3in. (11.7cm.) diameter, the saucers (11)
