The porcelain circa 1742, blue crossed swords marks and gilder's 45, various Pressnummern, much of the silver with the 18th century city mark for Turin and maker's mark V*G below a male profile to left, the box mid-18th century
The porcelain finely painted in colours with landscape vignettes of amorous couples in the style of Boucher reserved within gilt ombrierte rocaille cartouches, the silver undecorated, within a kingwood-veneered, quarter-domed box fitted in red silk velvet, comprising:
A bullet-shaped teapot and cover with silver chain and handle band, 4¼in. (10.8cm.) high
A hot-milk jug and cover, 5½in. (14cm.) high
A sugarbowl and cover, 4in. (10.2cm.) diam.
Four teacups and saucers, 5 3/8in. (13.5cm.) diam., the saucers
Four chocolate cups and saucers, 5 3/8in. (13.5cm.) diam., the saucers A globular hot water kettle and stand, the stand unmarked, 9in. (22.8cm.) wide overall
