A Thuringian-engraved erotic goblet and a cover
Circa 1730
(Deckelpokal) the generous trumpet bowl engraved in Mattschliff and Tiefschnitt with two foliate medallions, one with a winged amorino with bow and quiver of arrows, inscribed: Wenn du nicht treu will sein so (when you will not be faithful so...), the reverse en suite with a pair of mating fowl inscribed unsonst (in vain), the lower part with pointed leaves, upon a facetted multi-knopped stem, the foot engraved with foliage, the domed cover with foliage and facetted spire finial (crack to the cover)
