A large Sevres-patterned ormolu-mounted garniture
Circa 1880, pseudo-marked with interlaced L's and dateletters
Thickly applied with gilt and painted in colours in the neorococo style, the dark blue ground reserved with a frontal scene depicting gallant aristocratic couples in 18th century attire, the reverse with a dreamy landscape scene, signed Lawreince, with florid rocaille frames, on pedestal base, mounted with female bust handles and a scrolled upright border, mounted with quadrupod laurel plinths, mounted with huge pine cone finial, comprising: a pair of two-handled pedestal urn vases and covers, the huge domed covers en suite, 74.5cm high, and an oval pedestal pièce de milieu, 53cm high, 58cm wide (3)
