Painted in colours with a view of the village of Waterveen near Uithoorn, after a coloured engraving by J.C. Philips, in Amstellandsche Arkadia by Daniel Willink (Amsterdam 1737), depicting a Dutch village scene by a river, above a diaper-work cartouche with scrolling acanthus leaves, with shaped raised marbled border
