One of the stars of a recent blind tasting of 1959 and 1961 First Growths. Deep prune garnet color, intense nose of cassis, though still elegant. The first taste is of mint, followed by increasingly rich but dry fruit with a viscous texture, slightly citric, highly aromatic, complex, and with a dollop of mint-chocolate coating the fruit. FH
