Lot Essay

2illiam Bennet (1746-1820) was born in the Tower of London. In 1791 he married Frances, daughter of Rev. Nathaniel Mapletoft, by Anna Maria, only daughter of Charles, 5th Viscount Cullen. He died at Montagu Square, London and a monument was erected to his memory in Cloyne Cathedral.
