A good 12-inch (30.5cm.) diameter terrestrial globe made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees of amplitude and azimuth, hours and minutes, the ecliptic graduated in days of the month and of the houses of the Zodiac, the meridian of Greenwich ungraduated, the oceans with an analemma and overlaid cartouche, the continents with nation states outlined in yellow, red or green, some shaded green, and showing numerous details of towns, cities, deserts, rivers, mountains and the Great Wall of China (neat repair around equatorial with some detail loss, small areas of discolouration, old rubbing at South Pole) with stamped brass meridian circle (no stand)
