Property of WILLIAM J. HILL LAND & CATTLE COMPANY William J. Hill is a Houston born, Texas educated oil man. Therefore, it is not surprising that his art collection, with its strong selection of American sculpture, silver, and pottery should reflect Bill Hill's avid love of the outdoors and sportsmanship, as well as a fascination with the history of his home state. His interests in silver and Texas art are further reflected in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where he served as a Trustee for thirteen years. Concurrently, he was a commissioner for the Texas Commission on the Arts. Always civic-mided, Mr. Hill ia a member of the Cultural Arts Council for the City of Houston.
