Circa 520-510 B.C.
One side with Peleus taking hold of Thetis, the hero leaning forward, gripping his bride with both arms around her waist and lifting her off the ground while one of her panthers, symbolic of her transformations, bites his left arm, Thetis clad in a chiton, a red fillet in her hair, with both arms upraised, one of her sisters fleeing to the right but looking back, a vine in the field; the other side Dionysos riding on a mule in the company of two satyrs, the god clad in a chiton and himation, a fillet in his hair, holding a rhyton in his left hand, both satyrs walking away but looking back, with vines and grapes in the field; with rays above the foot, a band of dotted lotus bud chain below the scenes, alternating black and red tongues on the shoulders, palmette lotus chain on the neck and palmettes and lotus buds below the triple-reeded handles, details in added red, graffiti on the underside of the foot
