A ROMAN MARBLE FUNERARY RELIEF
Augustan, Circa Late 1st Century B.C.
Sculpted in high relief with busts of a two men and a woman, the two men both wearing a tunic and a toga, their right hands holding the edge of the fabric in the "arm-sling" pose, both with short wavy locks, the woman wearing a tunic and a palla which is pulled up over her head like a veil, her right hand resting high on her chest, her hair center-parted and combed in wavy sections
