The upswept molded top centering a reeded plinth surmounted by brass reeded ball finials above a rectangular hood with lunette-inlaid edge and a hinged rectangular door centering a bell-shaped glass enclosing a conforming white-painted and gilt dial with Roman chapter ring over a gilt wreath surrounding inscripted "James South, Charlestown," above a cavetto mid-molding over a conforming line-inlaid case above a molded base, on ogee bracket feet, plinth and feet replaced
