AN ENAMEL REMOVABLE DASHBOARD, BY CARTIER
Designed as a rectangular panel with canted corners, with leather covered side and back panels, the face of blue guilloché enamel within a chased leaf frame, to the central carved hardstone figure of St. Christopher, within a white champlevé enamel frame with the inscription: SPERO - ST. CHRISTOPHE TE PROTEGE, flanked to each side by a clock and a barometer within matching star-set white enamel frames and with white dials and Arabic numerals, the clock with jewelled lever movement (with a folding strut enabling it to be used as a desk clock as well), circa 1910, 20.0 x 9.0 x 2.5 cm.
