The rectangular case with a figure of Apollo standing to one side, a lyre in his left hand resting on the case, another string instrument leaning up on the other side, the spandrels of the case with applied foliate decoration, on a rectangular plinth with further foliate, musical and zoomorphic decoration, on a rectangular base with four bun feet, the white enamel Roman dial (cracked), with twin barrel movement and countwheel strike on bell -- 20¾in. (52.7cm.) high
