With a single figure of a goddess in a long fringed robe, standing with both arms raised, the terminal a three-line inscription in Babylonian cuneiform naming the owner "Gimil-Marduk, son of Sîn-ellassu, servant of Ammi-ditana"

Lot Essay

The owner of this seal was the servant of Ammi-ditana, King of Babylon from 1683-1647 B.C., and the great-grandson of Hammurabi.
