With two Lama goddesses, both in a horned tiara and flounced robe, raising both hands, facing a three-line cuneiform inscription which reads, "Ili-ippalsam, son of Simmeme, servant of Samsu-iluna"

Samsu-iluna was King of Babylon circa 1750-1712 B.C., the son and successor of Hammurabi.

The owner's name, Ili-ippalsam, means "my god has looked with favor on me", an expression of joy from the father when the child was born.
