Lot Essay

A very young girl in Dutch clothes, pauses for permission to enter a home. There are two paintings on the door, one of a windmill and the other of a stream and tree. Finished watercolours by Lady Laura are extremely rare.

We are grateful to Vern Swanson for his help in preparing this catalogue entry.
