The primavera technique is arguably one of the most innovative techniques created by Ercole Barovier. Few primavera pieces exist as the technique, which involved dipping the glass in a specific chemical to produce a delicate netting and random air bubble effect, was in essence invented accidentally in 1929. Upon depletion of the initial chemical source the firm was unable to reproduce it and so the series was short lived.
