A fine and rare 18th-Century brass coin balance,
signed on one of the support arms Anscheutz & C.oN.o1753, with brass pan with original cord and an index arranged to read off the curved graduated scale inscribed D 6 each and with various divisions (the scale arm and pan support section incorrectly re-attached to the back of the suppoting upright), the base hinged to fold down into the shaped mahogany case with brass hook and eye -- 5 7/8in. (15cm.) long
