A finely engineered 2½in. gauge model of the GWR 28XX Class 2-8-0 locomotive and tender No. 2800
built by R. West, with silver soldered superheated copper boiler by Cornish Boilers, with fittings including water and pressure gauges, blower, whistle, clack and blowdown valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with inside Stephenson's link reverse with solid links, fluted connecting rods, displacement lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass and whistle. Dummy details include crosshead driven feed pump, sanding boxes and pipes, firebox and boiler washout plugs, steps, hand and lamp irons. Tender details include hand feed pump, hand operated brake gear, water cock, tool boxes, filler cap and tank vents and firing iron rack, steps, hand and lamp irons, finished in GWR green livery --7¼ x 34¾in. (18.5 x 88.3cm.). Scale display track; boiler certificate dated 27.02.97; list of parts of locomotive and tender variously stamped for identification.
