Of small size, in the manner of Andre-Charles Boulle, of small size, the overhanging top inset with a panel of tooled leather within a foliate scroll brass and pewter border with engraved masks to the corners within a brass edge, the frieze with fallfront drawer enclosing three drawers and leather lined writing surface and recessed kneehole fallfront compartment below with dummy drawerfronts flanked by two drawers to either side with drawer fronts composed of brass and pewter marquetry within brass strung and scarlet tortoiseshell borders between stiles with brass and pewter inlay, the sides with pewter and brass marquetry of foliate scrolls, squirrels and vases of flowers on square tapered legs similarly inlaid with parcel gilt capitals and bun feet joined by flattened H-stretchers joined with similar brass and pewter inlay, the reverse inlaid with nine similar dummy drawer fronts
