A French bronze urn, late 19th century
Possibly by the Durenne foundry, the krater-shaped body flanked by fluted scrolling handles issuing from rams heads, the terminals engulfed further with fruiting vines, supported by winged caryatid figures, the frieze cast with central masks amidst entwined strap-work, beneath a trailing fruiting border, the waisted spreading socle with dolphins interspersed by fruiting swags, on a square section base
