A VICTORIAN TULIPWOOD, KINGWOOD CROSSBANDED PORCELAIN AND ORMOLU MOUNTED TABLE CABINET ON STAND, BY TOWN & EMMANUEL
The upper part with cavetto frieze and brass borders applied with porcelain plaques with birds and flowers within foliage, the fallfront centred by an oval and porcelain panel of vase flowers on a ledge within a foliate border enclosing a rose velvet lined interior with a shelf between giltmetal mounted foliate bombe sides with acanthus leaf scroll ornament on foliate feet, the lower part with serpentine brass moulded edge, crossbanded and shaped frieze applied with porcelain plaques painted with a couple and flowers on cabriole legs applied with female foliate masks to the knees terminating in pierced scroll sabots, bearing underneath a label of TOWN & EMMANUEL
