No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VA… Read more MAJOR EDWARD HOVELL THURLOW (1839-1979) Major Edward Hovell Thurlow was born in 1839, he joined the Royal Artillery where he served from 15th November 1853, retiring on 1 January 1879. During his time in the military he travelled extensively recording his travels in sketch books. Edward Hovell Thurlow died on 7th November 1979 at the age of 86.
