A PAIR OF WORCESTER TAPERING HEXAGONAL TWO-HANDLED POT POURRI VASES AND COVERS
Circa 1770
Painted with butterflies, insects and flower sprays, the female mask handles suspending ribbon-tied flower garlands above a band of applied orange, puce and yellow scrolls, the shoulders pierced with diaper pattern scroll edged panels, the high domed covers pierced and applied with flowers and rose finials, (one with crack to neck, underside rim chip to one cover, two masks repaired, losses to flowrheads, ribbons and finials)
39.5 & 40.5 cm. (15 1/2 & 16 cm.) high
