Naturalistically modelled standing foursquare on a rectangular base, the head held up and looking slightly to one side, the drummer wearing broad sleeved robes and beating at a small drum attached to his saddle, his head protected by an unglazed winter cap extending down his back, the horse under a pale straw glaze and with amber splashes on the head, mane and tail, the rider glazed amber, ear and leg restoration
