The mandorla of flame shape decorated with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, surrounding a shallow niche; the plaque of flattened hu shape with vertical dental flanges, decorated with archaistic scrolling phoenix and taotie motifs on a turquoise ground, backed in wood for use as a wall vase; the bowl, a spitoon, with broad everted rim, its domed cover with a turned finial, decorated with bats, ruyi lappets, archaistic scroll work and lotus on a turquoise ground, the interior with a funnel liner
6¾ in. (17 cm.) long, 9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm.) high and 5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) diam. (3)
