Small 8° (146 x 92mm.), woodcut historiated initials, errata on verso of final text leaf (first few leaves very lightly soiled), 19th-century vellum-backed buff paper boards, flat spine gilt with maroon leather lettering-pieces (lightly soiled). Provenance: Melzi (pencilled ascription).
FIRST EDITION. Gamba 1634: 'La miglior parte però di questo libro risguarda le Osservazioni poetiche, spezialmente fatte intorno al Petrarca.'
