8°, folding engraved frontispiece, title printed in red and black, 4-pages of publisher's advertisments at beginning (frontispiece lightly browned, short clean tear in lower margin of C7 just affecting catchword on recto), contemporary panelled calf, spine decorated gilt in compartments, lettering-piece (head and tail of spine chipped, spine, joints and extremities quite rubbed), sprinkled edges.
FIRST EDITION. In Henrey's view, "the treatise contains much practical and informative material, and provides some interesting accounts showing the expenses connected with the making of plantations, including the cost of labourer's wages, together with details recording the profit to be obtained.'
