Marshall, woodcut headpieces and initials (title and frontispiece lightly soiled, occasional light marginal thumb-soiling), contemporary calf, covers with blind fillets and fleurons at inner corners, flat spine with repeated blind decoration and manuscript paper label (extremities quite rubbed and scuffed).
FIRST EDITION, one of two variants, with the first two words of the title in upper case. The poems include Suckling's famous lyric "Why so pale and wan fond lover?"
