GRANOLLACHS, Bernardo (1421-1485). Summario dela luna novament correcto. Venice: Giorgio dei Rusconi, 5 February 1508.
Half-sheet 8° (136 x 97mm). Full-page title woodcut of an astronomer lecturing 3 students (109 x 84mm), 14 small cuts of the moon showing different phases. (Shaved at lower edges with some loss.) Blue morocco, small gilt fleurons at corners, gilt-ruled turn-ins, gilt edges, by Thierry 'et de petit-Simier'. Provenance: C.d.S. (modern bookplate with motto in Greek).
Granollachs's Lunarium was often printed in the 15th and 16th centuries. The present edition is an Ephemeris calculated for the years 1508 to 1550 on the basis of the Barcelona meridian. The author was a Catalan physician and astronomer. The title woodcut had appeared in two previous Rusconi editions of 1506. Essling 1203; Sander 3243 (woodcut measurements given as 113 x 79mm).
