AN HISTORIC SILVER MOUNTED SADDLE AND BRIDLE BY VISALIA STOCK SADDLE COMPANY OF SAN FRANCISCO, MADE FOR PHILANTHROPIST WILLIAM CAMERON OF WACO, TEXAS, CIRCA 1920
Profusely tooled with scenes of cowboys roping steers, rodeo riders, and the tapederos likewise embellished, all within a meandering foliage of oak leaves and acorns. Six silver steer heads, two set upon tooled American Shields, set with silver plate of the Visalia Stock Saddle Company, marked Made for W.W. CAMERON, saddle and bridle set with numerous silver conchos, with framed card noting that the saddle was submitted for display at the museum by Roy Durie and Gaines de Graffenried in 1981, a framed page from Texas Highways showing this saddle, and an unusual cut-out standing figure of Roy Durie, on the back of which is signed Sold to Gaines de Graffenried July 24, 1986 by Roy Durie
