The sighted barrel marked -ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW-YORK CITY-, vertical lever catch, cylinder scene with Ranger and Indian fight scene and marked MODEL U.S.M.R. over COLT'S PATENT, inspector's marks throughout, frame marked COLT'S PATENT U.S., oil-finished walnut grips cartouched on each side WAT and JCB
7½ inch (19cm.) barrel
Retaining some original finish in protected areas, generally vivid cylinder scene, grips with clear cartouches, an area of pitting on left side of barrel and on cylinder affecting the area with Indian hiding behind his horse. From a group of Colt Dragoon's purchased by states for militia issue.
