AN HISTORIC ROYAL LINEN AND LACE PILLOW COVERING, STAINED WITH THE TEARS OF EMPEROR MAXIMILIAN I OF MEXICO, 1867
Trimmed in lace against blue silk bands, the linen pillow covering embroidered with a Crown over M, stained in the lower center. Purportedly the pillow covering used by Emperor Maximiliano I the evening before his execution by firing squad at Queretaro, 19 June 1867.
