Lot Essay

The present drawing is a study for Rustichino's picture datable after 1620 now in the Uffizi, Dizionario enciclopedico Bolaffi dei Pittori e degli Incisori Italiani, Torino, 1975, X, p. 80, illustrated. The main difference between the drawing and the picture is the replacement of the column on the right of the drawing with the figure of an attendant.
